Help with redundancy matters
Making staff redundant can be complex and legally challenging. Delphi will guide you through this process to help you to reduce your headcount in a fair and legally compliant way.

How will I know if I need to make redundancies?
Delphi can calculate the total cost of your proposed redundancies according to each employee’s maximum redundancy entitlement.
We can help you consider alternatives to redundancy such as flexible working, redeployment, reducing overtime, early retirement and voluntary redundancy.
When compulsory redundancies cannot be avoided, we can help you identify the most suitable candidates based on a fair and equitable system, so that you avoid discrimination and victimisation claims.
What are the timescales for redundancy consultation?
We can provide correctly-worded correspondence, explaining the need for redundancies, together with a timeframe for consultation directly with affected employees – or through staff or union representatives – as appropriate.
Delphi can ensure that consultations begin with trade union officials or staff representatives at least 30 days before any dismissals are made, if 20 or more employees are to be made redundant, and 45 days before any dismissals if you are intending to make 100 or more employees redundant.
